Performance Study of Different Medical Images Based on Morphology in Noisy Environment
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Engineering & Technology(IJARCET) - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 1
Abstract
Identification of Medical images is done using their regional structures. Edge detection is a basic element in the area of image processing and computer vision particularly for feature extraction. Edge detection simplifies the amount of data to be processed with modifying the structural properties of the image. Edge is a boundary between the foreground and background. Medical image edge detection concentrates on object recognition of human organs but involves noise along with shadows and boundaries. Several diagnostic tools used to detect the disease are CT, MRI, PET, US and DICOM. In this paper performance of CT and DICOM images are evaluated in noisy environment using morphology and edge detection algorithms. A comparision of different edge detecting methods using different noises is performed and evaluated based on parameters like correlation coefficient and PSNR. The results judge the ability of operators in presence of noise.

Secured Intersection based Geographical Routing Protocol for VANET
Abstract—To achieve efficient routing protocol for vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) existing system employs intersectionbased Geographical Routing Protocol (IGRP) in city environments. IGRP is based on an effective...
Dynamic Pattern Matching: Efficient Pattern Matching using Data Preprocessing with help of One time look indexing method
There are various pattern matching algorithms which take more comparisons in finding a given pattern in the text and are static and restrictive. In order to search pattern or substring of a pattern in the text wi...
Workload Optimization by Horizontal Aggregation in SQL for Data Mining Analysis
— preparing a data set for analysis is generally the most time consuming task in a data mining project, requiring many complex SQL queries, joining tables, and aggregating columns. Existing SQL aggregations have li...
Non-Stationary Power Quality Signals Classification using Fuzzy C-means Algorithm
This paper presents a new approach for classification of various non-stationary power signal waveforms using modified Gaussian windowing technique. In comparison to the earlier Gaussian window, the modified Gaussia...
AN EFFECTIVE METHODOLOGY FOR MINUTIAE BASED FINGERPRINT MATCHING USING SINGULARITIES INDEXING
Fingerprint is one of the most significant and traditional biometric trait and its uniqueness are exclusively determined by the local ridge characteristics and their relationships. However, in existing system,...
