PHARMACEUTICAL SPHERE OF UKRAINE: PROBLEMS OF DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
Purpose – to prove the basic problems of the pharmaceutical sector of Ukraine, established in today's environment. Methodology of research. To achieve this goal in writing the article uses the following methods: analytical and monographic – the study of the literature on the subject of the study; analysis and synthesis – to identify problems of the pharmaceutical sector; abstract logical method – to summarize theoretical positions, forming conclusions. Findings. We believe that the main goal of the pharmaceutical sector of Ukraine is effectively providing Ukraine's population medicine, that every citizen of Ukraine must be guaranteed availability, clinical efficacy, safety and quality of medicines. Unfortunately, the realization of this goal is still elusive. A wide network of pharmacies, most drugs are physically accessible to the population, but not economically reasonable, because of high prices of medicines and Ukrainian low incomes simply can not afford to buy them, or they switch to cheaper drugs, or simply refuse to buy them. It was established that one of the main problems of pharmaceutical industry is a lack of production of drugs by domestic producers. Thus, today, more than 12 thousand types of medicines, which is the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine, only 30% are produced by domestic manufacturers. This shows the high dependence of health Ukraine on imported pharmaceutical products. In addition, there is an excessive reduction in the number of state and municipal pharmacies and complexity of public access to them, which is threatening event for the disabled and people with chronic diseases, because it is through such pharmacies mentioned categories of people could get certain drugs on favorable terms, especially this applies to pharmacies where drugs are produced. Quite a significant impact on the pharmaceutical industry and occupation of Ukraine has separate regions neighboring state. This creates problems in the marketing of products, because in some areas of Lugansk and Donetsk regions and in Crimea Ukrainian products simply pushed out of the market. Originality is the justification of the main problems of the pharmaceutical sector of Ukraine in modern conditions to facilitate the development of measures to regulate the vectors of development in key strategic documents. Practical value is that the basic theoretical principles of this study can be used in the development of strategic documents of the pharmaceutical sector of Ukraine, as well as writing student research.
