. «Philosophers of communication» and the idea of personality.

Abstract

The article argues that in contemporary philosophical discourse the problem of personality is very urgent, by a certificate what is, in particular, the semantic diversity of terms which thematise the problem. It is noted that at the turn of 19-20 centuries a new, different from the previous view of human self was formed – it built not on the basis of self-determination, but it supposes reflexiion self-relation, which is mediated by the presence of «significant other». At the same time the author focuses on community reflexivity moment for thinking of both epochs. It should be added that the above significance cann’t only be contained within my semantic horizon, but it must go beyond its borders. It means that the transition from the principle of subjectivity to the principle of intersubjectivity is realising. Significance is acquired by not my subjectivity, but her meeting with another subjectivity. The situation «fusion of horizons» and the principle possibility of achieving understanding becomes the basis for the recognition of the importance of the other. In this sense, human subjectivity is seen not something that should be achieved independently, it appears as fundamentally dialogic phenomenon.
