Journal Title: Indian Journal of Research in Pharmacy and Biotechnology - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 6
Abstract
In the present study, an attempt was made to investigate Phytochemical evaluation of roots of Lantana camara, Casuarina equisetifolia and Michella nilagirica. The crude drug powder extracts of the above plants were taken for the study. The Phytochemical Screening was done for the selected plants. Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, and cardiac glycosides were present in Lantana camara. Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, cardiac glycosides and anthraquinone glycosides were present in Casuarinia euisetifolia. Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and anthraquinone glycosides were present in Michella nilagirica.
