Phytochemical evaluation of Saraca indica, Jasminium sambac and Rubia cordifolia
Journal Title: Indian Journal of Research in Pharmacy and Biotechnology - Year 2015, Vol 3, Issue 6
Abstract
In the present study, an attempt was made to investigate Phytochemical evaluation of roots of Saraca indica, Jasminium sambac and Rubia cordifolia. The crude drug powder extracts of the above plants were taken for the study. The Phytochemical Screening was done for the selected plants. Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, and cardiac glycosides were present in roots of Saraca indica. Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavanoids, steroids, cardiac glycosides and anthraquinone glycosides were present in Jasminium sambac, Carbohydrates, alkaloids, flavonoids, saponins, and anthraquinone glycosides were present in Rubia cordifolia.
