Phytopharmacology of Alternanthera brasiliana (Amaranthaceae): A Brazilin plant

Abstract

Alternanthera brasiliana L. (Amaranthaceae) is evergreen, perennial herbs, native to tropical and sub-tropical regions of Brazil, Australia & South America. Alternanthera are grown for edging beds and for bedding. The hardy plant stand trimming, and can be easily propagated by cutting or by division. All of its parts are used in traditional system of medicine; leaves are the most important parts which are use medicinally.
