Place and Role of Professional Disciplines in the Process of Forming the Language Competence of Future Teachers of Foreign Languages

Abstract
Analysis of the basic research and publications analysis of the research problem makes it possible to isolate the basic concept, which needs to be clarified in connection with the specifics of the object and subject of scientific research – "professional disciplines". This concept specifies the content of the professional training of future teachers of foreign languages and allows them to focus on those academic disciplines whose study is most closely related to the foreign language competence. According to the definition in the Ukrainian legislation: a pedagogically adapted system of concepts of phenomena, laws, theories, methods, etc. of any field of activity (or a combination of different branches of activity) with the definition of the desired level of formation in those who learns a certain set of skills and abilities. We will analyze the conceptual foundations of the content of individual professional disciplines that influence the formation of the competence of future teachers of foreign languages. Thus, we have analyzed the content of professional disciplines that contribute to the formation of the language competence of future teachers of foreign languages. Participants of the pedagogical experiment involved in our study mainly represent in their curricula a complex of professional disciplines, including modern linguistics, practice of oral and written speech, information technology in a foreign language, practical course of translation, critical and analytical reading, practical phonetics, practical grammar, world literature, pedagogy, psychology, methods of teaching a foreign language and some other disciplines. The semantic analysis of these professional disciplines enabled the creation of a separate table, which represents the impact of their study on the formation of the language competence of future teachers of foreign languages in the process of vocational training.
