Abstract
Postindustrialne społeczeństwo drugiej połowy XX w. weszło w nowy etap egzystencji nazywany „erą informacji”. Każdy składnik narodowej siły staje się obecnie coraz bardziej zależny od swobodnego przepływu informacji i od zachowania systemów bazujących na informacjach. Wojsko, gospodarka, energetyka, media, system finansowy i transportowy są szczególnie z tym związane. Paradoks polega na tym, że do chwili obecnej nie ma jednoznacznej interpretacji terminu „informacja”. Autor usiłuje rozwiązać ten problem i w treści referatu prezentuje swoje dociekania na ten temat. Postindustrial society of the second half of the 20th century entered a new stage of existence called “information age”. Each component of national power nowadays becomes increasingly dependent on unimpeded flow of information and on performance of systems based on information. The military, economy, power sector, media, financial and transportation systems are particularly connected with the subject matter. The paradox consists in the fact that up to now there has been no unambiguous interpretation of the term “information”. The author attempts to solve the issue and presents his findings concerning the subject matter in this paper.
