POLITICAL IDENTITY: THE PLURALISM OF INTERPRETATIONS

Abstract
The features of political interpretation of the concept of «political identity»are analyzed, the principles of essentialistic and constructivistic approaсhes in the research of collective identities are defined, the possibilities of their synthesis are found out. The political identity as an element of social and political reality is considered as contextual and shift phenomenon which causes the constant search for the theoretical foundations of its research in the globalized world.
