POLÍTICAS CULTURAIS E OS ESTUDOS DA CULTURA DAS COMUNIDADES NEGRAS RURAIS

Abstract
This paper has as objective the analyses of cultural politics, in specific the politics related to studies about immaterial cultural heritage. Aiming the valorization of Black Communities’ know-how, the recognition of RS’s southwest communities land has started as of 1988, with the related politics linked to the Federal Constitution. Recent approaches about the Remaining Quilombo’s category legitimize the recognition process through a cultural-ethnic perspective, introducing the term Black Rural Communities that has its know-how linked to the land, that arranges the survivor practices of these people. The adopted methodology to perform this paper was a bibliographic research, supported by a primary data, obtained in a documental research and a field research. The field research was divided between an exploratory research and a participative observation in a quilombola community. As an instance, we will point researched elements from a community named “Comunidade Negra Rural do Alto do Caixão”, located in a rural district named Quilombo in the city of Pelotas, south of Rio Grande do Sul - Brazil.
