Polska Prowincja Salwatorianów w służbie promowania orędzia z Fatimy

Abstract
100 years after the apparitions at Fatima, we have an opportunity to look at the development of the cult of the Madonna of Fatima in Poland. An important role in promoting the messages of the Cova da Iria was played by Salvatorians. On May 13, 1950, Fr. Stanislaw Szarek SDS began the services of Fatima in the first Salvatorian religious house in Poland, in Trzebinia. After Turza, in Upper Silesia, this was the second Centre of worship of the Lady of Fatima in Poland. From the very beginning the Nights of Fatima were an encouragement to the recitation of the Rosary and were of penitential character. The dynamic development of the service of Fatima in Trzebinia, became an impulse for organizing services in the spirit of Fatima in the Salvatorian and diocesan parishes at home and abroad. This study presents the contribution of the Polish Salvatorians’ Province to the development and promotion of the message of the Virgin Mary of Fatima.
