POR UMA NOVA PERSPECTIVA METODOLÓGICA NO ENSINO DE HISTÓRIA DA MODA COM ÊNFASE NA HISTÓRIA REGIONAL

Abstract

This article presents the steps and results of a study carried out by students of the Technical Course in Clothing of the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in the class of the History of Clothing. Such research aimed to understand fashion as a social and cultural construct and the purpose of the research shown in this article was to compile, organize, and disseminate information, facts, reports, and images about habits and fashion of the 1950s in the city of Erechim, RS, Brazil. This article aims to expose this experience as a didactic teaching model, combining the theoretical research on regional history to the practice of the students of the course. Through the proposed work dynamics, the research brought history closer to the students. Additionally, it allowed students to develop criticism on fashion.
