POSITION OF THE OTHER AS THE NECESSARY MOMENT OF THE CONSTITUTION OF PRIVATE EXPERIENCE OF BEING
Journal Title: Вісник Львівського університету - Year 2017, Vol 13, Issue
Abstract
The article emphasizes the ambivalence of the ontological status of privacy. It is asserted that on the one hand, privacy has a distinct internal intentionality, so that it is a sphere identical to the “personal self”, on the other hand, privacy is possible only in (co) relativity with the world of external meanings, which in turn means the presence of the cognitive figure of the Other as “Prerequisite condition” (the term of J.R. Searle) formalizing the experience of privacy. From such positions, understanding of privacy as a dynamic intersubjective meta-position was justified, which is determined by the two-way interdependence of the objectified social reality and its subjective experience and interpretation.
