Postępowanie w hipoglikemii

Abstract
Hypoglycaemia is one of the most dangerous and the most common complications of the diabetes treatment, causing neurovegetative and neuroglycopenic symptoms. The article discusses the basic ways of its prevention, as well as risk factors affecting the onset of insulin hypoglycaemia. It presents an ad hoc procedure in hypoglycaemia depending on the state of consciousness of a patient. Attention has been paid to the management of hypoglycaemia unawareness and recurrent hypoglycaemia, and at the same time the issue of indications for hospitalization has been raised. The aim of the paper is to provide knowledge about the management of hypoglycaemia according to the recommendations of the Polish Diabetes Association (PTD).
