Prediction for Vibration Response of Railway Vehicle Air-conditioning Structure Based on Constraint Force
Journal Title: Urban Mass Transit - Year 2024, Vol 27, Issue 5
Abstract
Objective The air-conditioning unit, as an essential equipment for passenger comfort regulation in vehicles, generates vibration from the compressor and fan during normal cooling operation. Excessive vibration can lead to internal structural vibration and noise in the vehicle, thereby affecting passenger comfort. Therefore, it is necessary to study the vibration response of the air-conditioning structure in railway vehicles. Method A model based on the theory of constraint force is established. Finite element simulation is used to predict the structural vibration and noise that may occur during the design phase of vehicle air conditioning. Various operating conditions are tested to reduce vibration and noise after the assembly of the vehicle air conditioning unit. Result & Conclusion Through simulation methods, the vibration response of air-conditioning unit under the excitation of the compressor and fan can be effectively predicted, thereby reducing vibration issues inside the vehicle after the installation of the air-conditioning unit.
