Prevalence and Intensity of Dental Caries in Children in Ukraine: Results of Clinical and Epidemiological Survey

Abstract
The article presents the results of own researches on the prevalence and intensity of dental caries among children, depending on age and region of residence. Dental examination has been conducted in 1106 children aged 11 to 17 years, living in areas of industrial pollution and lack of fluoride. The results indicate that the living in ecologically unfavorable regions significantly affect the prevalence and intensity of dental caries, which statistically significant increase with age, at that the highest prevalence corresponds to higher intensity of caries.
