Abstract
The contribution deals with the problems of socio-pathological phenomena among children and youth in the context of social pedagogy as a subject in its historical development as well as nowadays. Social patho- logical prevention has been one of the crucial problems focused by social pathology both in Europe and in Slovakia and Czech Republic.
