PROBLEM - SOLVING DIALOGICAL INTERVENTIONS TO RESOLVE PSYCHOSOCIAL PROBLEMS OF EXCLUDED YOUTH: A LIFE SKILL APPROACH

Journal Title: The Odisha Journal of Psychiatry - Year 2013, Vol 20, Issue 1

Abstract

Psychosocial problems of youth are outcome of social and interpersonal challenges that they face in their day-today life. More so, with the youths of slum communities, who are the excluded groups engaged in labour work, struggling to sustain their livelihood in the globalized economy. Generally, the excluded groups due to their powerlessness, mounting external pressures and lack of mental health services, experience inadequacy of competence and lack of skills to cope with the life challenges.
