The article is devoted to problems of building of civil society in Ukraine. Defined the concept and basic features of civil society. Established causes and major areas of problems. The analyzed state to overcome gaps that impeding to building of civil society in Ukraine. Статья посвящена проблемам построения гражданского общества в Украине. Определено понятие и основные признаки гражданского общества, выявлены причины и условия возникновения проблем. Проанализировано состояние преодоления недостатков, препятствующих строительству гражданского общества в Украине.
