Problemy metodologiczne w badaniach nad Celtami i celtyckością
Journal Title: Studia Europaea Gnesnensia - Year 2015, Vol 11, Issue
Abstract
For the past 20 years, Celtologists have lively debated the criterion of “Celtic¬ness”. This debate is a reflection of the general trend in the transformations taking place in the studies of barbarian peoples, resulting primarily from the use of new tools of interpretation, which are typical of cultural anthropology and sociology. The author attempts a critical verification of theories advanced to date, while at the same time suggesting his own definition of “Celticness” which in the main relies on the rejection of erroneous division into Q-Celtic and P-Celtic languages, as well as Gustaf Kossinna’s research method, which still persists in the literature of the subject.
