Production of amylase and lipase enzymes from actinomycetes
Journal Title: World Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences - Year 2016, Vol 4, Issue 9
Abstract
Fifteen actinomycetes strains were isolated from cow dung and manure sample of Jabalpur (M.P.) India. The activity of amylase and lipase were determined by DNS assay and titrimetric assay method. Among all the isolates maximum activities were exhibited from the strain CD12 with 390 μg/ml and 560 U/ml and CD15 were found to be 290 μg/ml and 620 U/ml, respectively. Based on the morphological and biochemical characteristics the potent strains were identified as the genus Streptomycetes.
