PROFESIONAL ETHICS IN THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM IN POLAND

Abstract

The health care system in Poland, as other as in other countries, is sub jected to evaluation both in the context of professional medical care and economic efficiency. In reforming of the system, aside from issues related to the health care and economics, there are numerous problems in the field of ethics that arise. In addition, profound cultural changes as well as the development of health technology assessment lead to many new ąuestions regarding the ethical aspects of modern medicine. This text is devoted to the identification of the fundamental ethical dilemmas in the health system both in the context of the introduced reforms and contemporary transformations.
