PROHIBITION OF VIOLENCE AS A FUNDAMENTAL PRINCIPLE OF THE REGULATION OF FAMILY RELATIONS

Abstract
The article analyzes the mechanism of guaranteeing the principle of prohibition and counteraction of domestic violence in the legislation of Ukraine and certain states of the European Union. The relation ship between such terms as “domestic violence”, “violence in family”, “violence against women” and “gender-based violence” is established. Proposals for making changes to the legislation of Ukraine are proposed.
