Project method as a way of development of cognitive interests of primary schoolers

Abstract
Activization and development of cognitive interests of primary schoolers as the leading motive of education and the factor of the effectiveness of this process is the one of the main problems of modern pedagogy actualize in this article. On the basis of the developed by the author of the structural and functional program of the project activity of students, in the practice of elementary school was implemented scientific and pedagogical experiment, the results of which are represented in the study. In the course of experimental work, the project method is considered as a pedagogical system that performs educational, cognitive, developmental and educational functions; a didactic remedy that integrates a wide range of activities and various content-rich knowledge; a way of organizing educational and cognitive students activity, aimed at expanding subject orientation, updating of cognitive activity and independence of primary schoolers. In particular, the author emphasizes on that in the result of the experiment is revealed the effectiveness of using the project method as a means of developing of the cognitive interests of primary schoolers.
