Abstract
In this study, evet which serves as an interactional marker has been analyzed in terms of tool of pragmatics and conversation analysis. The aim of the study is to unfold the interactional features and functions of evet in the light of data and the quantitative results from Spoken Turkish Corpus. Findings show that evet is used mostly with the approval function and respectively they appear with the agreement, continuation, question-respond and divergence functions and mostly in brief encounters. With the functions in question it is determined that evet is effectively used to maintain the flow of conversation and to compensate it.
