PROSODIC FEATURES AND THE GRAPHIC ASPECT OF THE USE OF SEPARATED STRUCTURES IN MODERN FRENCH LANGUAGE SYNTAX

Abstract

In the French literature of modernism at the beginning of the XX century, as a structure of conversational syntax, segmented (dismembered) syntactic constructions became widespread. By their nature, the nature of the emergence (from a colloquial speech), separation structures are affective, expressively colored and stylistically marked syntactic units. The article deals with the main prosodic and graphic signs of separation in the structure of the syntax of modern French language. It is substantiated that the use of syntactic separation for the purpose of compression of speech structures forms a peculiar rhythmic mellitus and a special graphic design of the statement, which intensifies it, makes it even more expressive and emotionally rich. The research has shown that prosodic means of separation structures are not subject to typing in terms of their use, since they are not tied to syntactic structures and always maintain their non-standard and exclusivity. The implementation of prosodic means is dictated by the internal principle, which is due to the subjective intentions of the speaker and the recipient's individual capabilities to decode the text. An analysis of the new graphical capabilities of the syntax point showed that marking the separation constructions; it transmits the finest shades of meaning, sensations that cannot be expressed verbally, explicitly. As a result, there is a semantic extension of the expression and its linguistic (structural) compression at the same time. Graphically, structurally dividing, separated the expression, the process of separation thereby binds it, integrates all its elements, makes it holistic and fully communicative. We observe the effect of the principle of speech economics, which is characteristic of modern French syntax, graphics and language as a whole. We can argue that separation structures, with their openness, democracy, and communicativeness, not only extend the expressive syntactic, semantic capabilities of modern French language, but also enrich its traditional phono stylistics and graphical system.
