PROTEIN DELIVERY BY NANOPARTICLES FORMED BY CHITOSAN-N-ACYL DERIVATIVES
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2011, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
Biodegradable nanoparticulated carriers have important potential applications for administration of therapeutic proteins and peptides. Chitosan based nanoparticles have attracted attention due to their biological properties such as biodegrability and biocompatibility. However, chitosan nanoparticles are not stable in colloid form. Therefore, to increase the stability of these particles is an important problem. The aim of this work was to obtain stable nanoparticles formed by N-acyl derivatives of chitosan by ionic gelation and to investigate their ability to interact with acidic, neutral and basic proteins.

EFFECT OF CROSS-LINKING WITH GLUTARALDEHYDE ON ADSORPTION CAPACITY OF CHITOSAN BEADS
The study was undertaken to analyze the effect of chitosan cross-linking with glutaraldehyde on the adsorption capacity of chitosan beads during adsorption of Reactive Black (RB5) and Basic Green (BG4) dyes. Analyses wer...
INFLUENCE OF THE PHYSICOCHEMICAL FACTORS ON DISSOLUTION OF THE SUBSTANCE OF CLASS II BCS FROM SOLID DISPERSIONS WITH CHITOSAN
The BCS class II includes drugs with low solubility and high permeability. Fenofibrate is an example of this class drugs. The aim of the study was to investigate the effect of chitosan about average molecular weight in v...
THE INFLUENCE OF THE DEACETYLATION DEGREE OF CHITOSAN IN THE FORM OF FLAKES ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF NITRATES V SORPTION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS
The influence of the degree of deacetylation of chitosan from the range of DD = 75–90% on the effectiveness of sorption of nitrates from aqueous solutions was investigated. The scope of the research included: determining...
SURFACE PROPERTIES OF CHITOSAN COMPOSITES WITH POLY(VINYL ALCOHOL) AND HYDROXYAPATITE
Surface properties of composites containing chitosan (Ch), poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA) with hydroxyapatite (HAP) were investigated by contact angle measurements and atomic force microscopy (AFM). Thin films of Ch/HAP and C...
FORMATION AND PROPERTIES OF DBC/PLA MICROFIBRES
In this study, a solution of dibutyrylchitin (DBC)/polylactide (PLA) blend micro and nanofibres were successfully fabricated using blends of 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (TFE) as solvents. Fibres were produced from the solutio...
