Пустая глагольная приставка по- в русском языке
Journal Title: Acta Neophilologica - Year 2016, Vol 2, Issue 0
Abstract
This paper presents the analysis of Russian verbs with aspectual prefixes. The objective of the research is to show formations where the prefix has no lexical meaning (“empty prefix”). The focus of the study is placed on the most representative group of empty verbal prefixation which relates to the prefix по- in adjectival formations. Словарь русского языка: В 4-х томах (ed. A.П. Евгеньева) (Моscow 1984) served as the basic lexicographic source of verbs. The analyzed material contains 80 Russian verbs in the aspectual relation formed with the prefix по-. They have been divided into five groups. Moreover, the article presents statements of Russian scholars (S. Karcevskij, V. Vinogradov, A. Bondarko, V. Klimonov) who, despite a controversial character of the empty prefixation phenomenon, considered prefixes in certain formations to be semantically empty. The article is complemented by examples of word-formative synonymy.
