QABUS TOWER IN TURKMENSAHRA, THE WORLD'S TALLEST BRICK

Abstract
This article is a research on Tower Qabus so the world's tallest brick building. Qabus Tower in 10th century (4th century AH) is made by the Qabus Woshmgir, one of the sultans of family Ziyar(1006). This tower, in 2012. has been proclaimed as the highest brick building in the world by UNESCO. Qabus tower is located in the city of Gonbad from Iran Turkmensahra. Old name of the city of Gonbad was Jorjan. Pahlavi period in the 20th century the name was changed to Gonbad. Qabus tower, whether architectural features, whether in terms of building materials used, It has important features. This building has a height of 70 meters, was built on an artificial hill 15 meters. To be entirely made of bricks of the tower, look like a brick in one piece with the technical elegance, It is quite boost her artistic value. The building is beautiful with simplicity and sobriety. As to 10. century architecture is seen more decorations on the walls but around the tower has seen inscriptions written with Kufic. In this inscriptions, is given information the founder of the building and about the history of the construction that.
