Quality as a Determinant of an Organization’s Development Illustrated by the Example of Selected Garment Companies

Abstract
The quality of a product or service is an important factor in the development of a company. This aspect is exemplified by case studies of two small garment companies. The development of the first company, which manufactures mainly medical garments, has been enabled not only by the quality of design and production but also by virtue of outstanding service. The second company has used its production quality to win customers who used to place orders in low-cost countries. The two examples show that quality is an important and often decisive factor of competitiveness.
