QUALITY OF LIFE AND COPING STRATEGIES IN PATIENTS WITH TREATMENT-RESISTANT SCHIZOPHRENIA

Abstract
Treatment-resistant schizophrenia is associated with poor adaptation, reduced quality of life, and the predominance of maladaptive coping strategies. Emotion-focused and avoidant strategies negatively impacted patients' adaptation and treatment adherence. The development of psychotherapeutic programs aimed at enhancing problem-focused strategies can significantly improve the quality of life and rehabilitation potential for this group.
