Quality of Life of Patients on the Background of Therapy with Thyroxine and Combination of Thyroxine and Triiodothyronine after Total Thyroidectomy for Grave’s Disease
Journal Title: Міжнародний ендокринологічний журнал - Year 2014, Vol 5, Issue 61
Abstract
We have studied the quality of life parameters during thyroxine replacement therapy and combination therapy with thyroxine and triiodothyronine in patients with postoperative hypothyroidism due to total thyroidectomy. Reduced quality of life is a condition characteristic of the majority of patients underwent surgery for thyroid pathology. Combination therapy with thyroxine and triiodothyronine ensures a significantly higher quality of life in patients who underwent total thyroidectomy for Grave’s disease.
