Quasielastic Light Scattering and Heat Transfer in Pb2P2S6 Crystals
Journal Title: Фізика і хімія твердого тіла - Year 2014, Vol 15, Issue 3
Abstract
By analyzing of the central peak on Brillouin light scattering spectra, quasielastic scattering light of Pb2P2S6 crystals was investigated. It was found the differences between empirical and calculated (in terms of thermodynamic theory) data for the half-width of the spectral lines at low temperatures, which is associated with a crossover from the hydrodynamic regime to the regime without collisions. For objects under consideration, the temperature dependence of the relaxation time, the average group velocity and the mean free path of short-phonons that carry heat were experimentally obtained.
