Rationalization of the approaches to the drugs creation applied for the hypothyroidism fitotherapy

Abstract
The prophylaxis of iodine deficiency diseases and control for the iodine providing of population in regions with iodine deficiency is the issue of the day today. The medical, social and economic value of iodine deficiency consists in the considerable losses of intellectual, educational and professional potential of nation. Liquidation of iodine deficiency is foreground job for many states in the world, including, and for Ukraine. One of the most widespread methods of prophylaxis of iodine deficiency diseases is the use of iodized salt, which has a row of failings. For a prophylaxis and treatment of different pathologies of thyroid a certain place is occupied by medical plants and drugs on their basis. The purpose of work was a theoretical and experimental ground of the methodological approaches of the purposeful search of plants drugs for a prophylaxis and treatment of hypothyroidism, development of possibilities and principles of application of medical plants at these diseases. On the basis of scientific information and author’s own experimental work the algorithms of targeted search of herbal material objects for prevention and treatment of hypothyroidism have been developed. Basic principles of application of iodine-containing herbs have been formulated.
