Abstract
The project objective is to investigate, how much of the work developed in the interwar period and the times of the Polish People’s Republic has survived till the present in the practice and awareness of social activists as well as representatives of the subjects of the old and new social economy. Thus the research involves specifying the roots and tradition of the cooperative movement as well as describing the current state of affairs after 1989, that is preparing a detailed characterization of present cooperative forms and defining their role in shaping social politics after 1989.
