RECHARGING INFILTRATION WITHIN AREAS OF OPENCAST SAND MINING

Abstract
Recharging infiltration has been determined for 22 partial groundwater basins within the boundaries of 3 centres of opencast sand mining drainage. The area of groundwater basin ranged from 0.2 to 23.4 km2. Infiltration was calculated by means of hydrological method and water balance. Recharging infiltration of precipitation in basins ranged from 8.3 to 50.5%, i.e. 2.0 to 14.0 dm3/s·km2. Infiltration coefficient of precipitation ranged from 63 to 442 mm.
