RELATIONS BETWEEN TERNARY DESIGNS AND D-OPTIMAL WEIGHING DESIGNS WITH NON-NEGATIVE CORRELATED ERRORS

Abstract
This work was intended as an attempt at motivating to increase the list of possible classes in that we are able to construct optimal plans of experiments. Here, we consider the criterion of D-optimality. We introduce the relations between ternary balanced block designs and chemical balance weighing designs. Based on these relations we propose to construct the design matrix of the regular D-optimal chemical balance weighing design on the base of the set of the incidence matrices of the ternary balanced block designs. We consider these designs under basic assumption that the errors are equally correlated and they have the same variances.

THE METHOD OF STANDING TREES ALLOCATION TO DIFFERENT BIOSOCIAL CLASSES
The discriminant analysis method was used for the purpose of allocation trees to Kraft classes. The Scots pine trees were used to determine discriminant functions. Only traits which can be measured on the standing trees...
CORRELATIONS AMONG CHOSEN TRAITS OF STANDING TREES IN 35-YEARS OLD PINE STANDS
The paper presents results of studies on dependency between chosen stem measurements – DBH (diameter at breast height), height, increment in breast height diameter, slenderness, current increment of tree volume and as tr...

CHANGES OF CHOSEN PROPERTIES OF SANDY SOIL IN RESULT OF COMPOST APPLICATION
In this paper, the analysis of variance of the results of experiment conducted in laboratory conditions is described. The objective of this study was to evaluate changes in soil reaction, hydrolytic acidity, sum of bases...
New test for comparison of binomial proportions: power comparison
In the problem of comparison of two probabilities of success the most widely used test is approximate test based on de Moivre-Laplace theorem. In Jaworski and Zieliński (2017) a new test based on the likelihood ratio was...
