RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN LIFE QU'ALITY PERCEPTION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY OF FEMALES AFTER MASTECTOMY

Abstract
[b][/b][b]Background.[/b] The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between physical acWity and life quality conditioned by health state of the females treated do to breast cancer [b]Materiał and methods. [/b]The study used the results of the questionnaire performed among 104 women after mastectomy from all over Poland. The age of researched women was between 35 and 72. The research presented in this work was done using the que-stionnaire pertaining to life ąuality perception and physical acWity.[b]Results.[/b] The study results indicate that about 60% of women are satisfied with their marriage, house activities, standard ofliving and themselves. Those aspects were nega-tively estimated by 35% of ąuestioned ones. Over 75% is definitely satisfied with their fa-mily life, friends, leisure time, education and I Mng place. Though in those spheres 20% of the respondents were unsatistied, 5% didn't declare their teelings. Other lite aspects of post mastectomy women, such as work, IMng in Poland and earnings were negatively estimated (63%); in those cases only 35% of respondents were satisfied.[b]Conclusions.[/b] The first data analysis does not allow us to present detailed conclu-sions, although it allows to state that most of post mastectomy women positively estima-tes their private life and is satisfied with their socio-economicaf status. Lack of satisfaction concerns mostly their work. Women, who underwent breast amputation, characterized with higherlife ąuality perception, are morę involved in rehabilitation morę often participa-te in physical actMty than then the women with lower life ąuality perception.
