Relationship of communicative situation conditions and participants and language units based on political speeches of Condoleeza Rice and Barack Obama

Abstract
In this article the author aims to examine the relationship between some components of a communicative situation and its participants on the language elements on the example of the use of addressing in the political speeches of Condoleezza Rice and Barack Obama. The author analyzes the speeches and singles out target elements and the factors influencing on their use in this context. The subject of study in this paper focuses on speech situations taking place within political speeches; therefore, research is closely linked to the political sphere. Identification of the impact of the conditions and participants of speech situation on language elements promotes to find out which language elements help achieve the desired result and which terms of the speech situation must be considered while choosing them. In the first part of the article the author examines the theoretical position that served as a starting point for the study and determines the methodological framework of it. In the second part of the article the results of the analysis of political speeches of Condoleezza Rice and Barack Obama are presented. Author presents the main factors affecting the use of such language elements as addressing. The theoretical significance of the study is to systematize the knowledge of such concepts as speech situation, components of the speech situation, language elements and levels of the language. The practical significance of the paper is to study in detail and describe the features of the use of elements belonging to different levels of the language system and the conditions of the speech situation, to influence them.
