RELIABILITY FUNCTIONS OF LOW VOLTAGE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MADE OF BARE WIRES, INSULATED ONES AND CABLES

Abstract

The paper presents the results of the evaluation of basic functions determining reliability characteristics of LV connections, i.e. their failure intensity function, function of reliability and unreliability function. On the basis of long-term monitoring of LV connections that operate in a large electricity distribution company in Poland, the empirical waveforms of mentioned features have been defined. An accordance of these empirical distributions with the assumed theoretical ones has been also investigated. The expected values of the lifetime to damage of the LV connections have been determined as well.
