RESEARCH OF STRUCTURAL CHANGES IN THE WHOLESALE TRADE FACTOR ON THE INTERNAL MARKET OF GOODS

Abstract

The influence of structural shifts on the domestic commodity market with the purpose of identifying strategic guidelines for the development of domestic goods of Ukraine has been researched. To achieve the goal, the volume of wholesale trade in food and non-food products was investigated. Also, the structure of wholesale commodity circulation by commodity groups and the subjects (producers of goods) was investigated in order to determine the progressiveness of changes in the structure of wholesale trade turnover. The share of sales of goods of domestic production in the structure of the wholesale trade in food products was quite significant and did not differ in material fluctuations. During 2008-2017, the share of sales of domestic production in the wholesale commodity circulation of food products increased by 2%, which positively characterizes changes in the structure of the wholesale commodity turnover of food products by the subjects (producers of products presented on the domestic market). The positive structural changes in the wholesale trade in food products were volatile and insignificant and were not able to compensate for the negative structural changes in the wholesale trade in non-food products. The share of domestic goods sales in wholesale turnover for the investigated period decreased from 65.6% in 2008 to 43.7% in 2017, which negatively characterizes changes in the structure of wholesale trade by entities (producers of products presented in the domestic market). As a result of the analytical study of the structure and structural changes in the volumes of goods turnover, an information and analytical base for research on the development of the domestic commodity market was created to determine the strategic guidelines for the development of the domestic commodity market.
