RESEARCH PROBLEMS THAT OCCUR DURING THE ANALYSIS OF THE WORK OF FRP-STRENGTHENED TIMBER BEAMS UNDER SUSTAINED LOADS
Journal Title: Structure and Environment - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue 4
Abstract
A special focus was given to the variation in deformability characteristics of these materials and to the resulting processes that occur in the work of the strengthened beams. Aims and objectives of these studies were also presented together with the issues resulting from the requirement to maintain appropriate test conditions. The paper is a theoretical analysis of the problem, conducted prior to the start of preliminary studies.

THE STATISTICAL MODELS FOR INTERPRETING THE RESULTS OF PARCELS AREA VERIFICATION IN INTEGRATED ADMINISTRATION AND CONTROL SYSTEM IACS
A key element of the system IACS is the verification of the parcel area covered by direct subsidies. Control measurements are made by FOTO method, and in a small part by the direct inspection. Statistical methods are use...
CALCULATION OF HEAT TRANSFER IN FLUID AROUND GAS-VAPOUR BUBBLES
In this paper the mathematical model for calculating heat transfer in the fluid that surrounds the oscillating gas – steam bubble. The mathematical model takes into account the changing thermal and physical characteristi...
STRENGTH AND STRUCTURAL PROPERTIES OF STRUCTURAL TIMBER
Taking into account the growing significance of structural timber in the building industry, the paper aims at defining the selected mechanical and physical properties of the Polish pine structural sawn timber from four n...
PASSIVE ENERGY REDUCTION TECHNOLOGIES IN ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING
The paper presents a review of passive techniques used in environmental engineering and construction, aimed at reducing energy consumption for heating or cooling purposes. These are: green facades, cooling coatings, ther...
PROCESSES MODELLING IN TWO-NAVE BUILDING WITH NATURAL AIR EXCHANGE
The paper explains ventilation air exchange driven by the gravitational force and wind, and the major factors affecting the phenomenon. A mathematical model, namely a system of equations, for computations of natural vent...
