Research progress on the pathogenesis of chronic kidney disease combined with sarcopenia
Journal Title: Chinese Journal of Clinical Research - Year 2024, Vol 37, Issue 12
Abstract
The occurrence of sarcopenia is closely related to chronic kidney disease. In recent years, the incidence rate of sarcopenia in chronic kidney disease patients has increased significantly, affecting the prognosis of the disease. In recent years, studies have found that the occurrence of sarcopenia in chronic kidney disease is related to factors such as chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, abnormal hormone levels, insulin resistance, excessive angiotensin Ⅱ, vitamin D deficiency, hemodialysis, and movement disorders. This article provides a review of its pathogenesis.
