Review on MANETs Characteristics, Challenges, Application and Security Attacks
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 2
Abstract
Mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) are wireless, un-infrastructure, dynamically linked network consists of a collection of wireless mobile nodes that communicate with each other without centralized monitoring & Control. These fundamental characteristics, such as wirelessly connecting medium, dynamic natured topology used, distributed cooperated network. MANETs are vulnerably natured to various kinds of security related attacks such as wormhole attacks, greyhole attacks, rushing attacks, blackhole attacks. This paper review about mobile ad-hoc networks, its characteristics, challenges faced, applications, security related goals and different types of attacks.
