Abstract
Three groups of brown trout were reared from fry till the fingerling stage. Group F and K originated from farmed brood stock, group P from wild fish. Group F was immersion-inoculated against furunculosis. The survival, growth rate and condition factor in the three experimental groups were evaluated. Inoculation improved survival and growth. The experiment proved that the progeny of the domesticated brood stock were better adapted to standard salmonid farming conditions than the trout of wild parents’ origin.
