RISK FACTORS IN HOSTAGE SITUATIONS

Abstract

The article aims to analyse problems associated with making decision in situations of the terrorist threat. Today, the problem of a risk especially relates to “renegade” situa-tions and similar ones which raise a number of issues related to a risk in moral, social, political and tactical terms. In this context an important element is to minimise the risk of the latter type by creating conditions for proper development of special forces capa-ble of performing operations to rescue hostages.
