Roles and Competencies of the Modern Manager

Abstract
Modern companies have to operate in the context of a dynamic market, which is both global and strongly regionalized. This creates a number of challenges for the modern manager. In order to cope with the uncertain and volatile business environment managers need to be highly skilled, have a broad knowledge and various competencies, be able to see opportunities and threats created by the stakeholders, and have the ability to adjust to changing markets.
