“Romeo and Juliet” as a postmodernist project by Yu. Andrukhovych: from the translation of micro-poetics to micro-poetics of the translation

Abstract
The article deals with the first translation of Shakespeare’s tragedy “Romeo and Juliet” in the twenty-first century, which was made by Yurii Andruchovich. In particular, the attention is drawn to the speech palette of the original text, as well as to the specifics of its representation in the text of translation. The aim is to identify Andrukhovych’s translation strategy at various levels of the transla- tion poetics, as well as to determine the place of his creative attempts in the context of the Ukrainian Shakespeareana.
