Abstract
Russel A. Hibbs is an orthopaedic surgeon that his name is very well known by a spinal fu-sion. At the beginning of the 20th century, he had some great contributions in the treatment of the spinal disorders. He applied the first spinal arthrodesis which had been inspired by knee arthrodesis. The rules that he described about spinal fusion are still being accepted as the important tips for a successful spinal fusi-on.
