Safety Analysis of Abutment Local Underpinning Under Complex Terrain Conditions

Abstract
For the railway expansion construction project,existing pedestrian bridge was stabilized through unsymmetrical piles framework,which was local underpinning and anti-slide to ensure safety and stability. A three-dimensional simplified model was established by using ABAQUS software to simulate actual construction conditions. The rationality of the model was proved by comparing simulation results with design results. Takingthe effect of rainfall infiltration into account simultaneously,the situation of different duration under the maximum rainfall intensity over the years was simulated and the changes of bending moment and displacement after rain were analyzed. The results show that the piles framework and the abutment form a whole system to bear external force collectively,in which anti-slide piles are subjected to large lateral pressure. Furthermore,the effect of the reinforcement scheme is obvious and this reinforcement scheme can meet the requirements under the most unfavorable rainfall conditions.
